Passport photos, printed at home

Choose the size your document asks for, line the face up with the guides, then print a whole sheet on photo paper. The photo never leaves this device.

Your photo

Nothing is uploaded. The file is read locally by the browser.

Choose a photo or drop a file here. JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 25 MB.

The photo stays in this tab. It is never uploaded, stored or sent anywhere.

The PNG carries its 300 dpi, so a print comes out at the exact size.

Before you print

This tool frames a photo. It cannot turn a poor photo into an accepted one, so start with a good one.

Light and background

Stand in front of a plain, light wall with no picture frames or door frames. Daylight from a window in front of you, never behind. No shadow on the face or on the wall.

Face and expression

Look straight into the lens, mouth closed, neutral expression, both eyes visible. Hair away from the eyebrows. No glasses for EU documents since 2015.

Distance and height

Ask someone to hold the phone at your eye level, about 1.5 m away, and to step back until your head and shoulders fill the frame. A selfie at arm's length distorts the face.

Paper and printer

Use glossy or matte photo paper at 10 x 15 cm and print at 100 percent. Turn off "fit to page". Plain office paper is not accepted.

Do not retouch

No smoothing, no whitened eyes, no replaced background. Retouched photos are rejected. Cropping and scaling are fine, changing the face is not.

Check the current rules

Rules differ by country and change over time. The authority that issues your document decides. When in doubt, ask them before you print twenty copies.

About Photo Sheet

Photo Sheet crops one photo to the exact millimetre size a document asks for and lays it out on a printable sheet with cut marks. It runs entirely in the browser: no server, no account, no analytics, and no network request after the page loads.

Where the numbers come from

The guide bands follow published ICAO Doc 9303, EU Visa Code and US State Department ranges. On a 35 x 45 mm photo the head should measure 32 to 36 mm from chin to crown, with the eyes 27 to 32 mm above the bottom edge. Ranges are guidance, not a guarantee.

What is stored

The working photo lives in this tab's memory only. Reload the page and it is gone. Size, paper, language and theme are kept in localStorage, because nobody wants to choose them twice. There is nothing else.

What it does not do

No face detection, no background removal, no AI. You place the head against the guides yourself, which is also why the result is predictable. The quality chips only report what the pixels can support.

Offline

After the first visit a service worker keeps the page on your device, so it opens with no connection. Add it to your home screen and it behaves like an app.
